October Favourites

October was a good month! It was mostly warm, I finished uni for the year, I got to dress up for halloween and I won almost $50 from a $5 bet on a horse in the Melbourne Cup. Included in my favourites for this month are products I've been using pretty much everyday because they're that good or products that I bought in October and absolutely adore. So without further ado here are my favourites

I just had to include by betting receipt because I'm so excited lol. Products (L-R): theBalm Mary-Lou manizer highlighter, TAB receipt, Benefit Stay Don't Stray, Face Of Australia nail polish in After Dinner Mint, Essence lipliner in Femme Fatale, theBalm Sexy Mama powder and MAC lipstick in Coral Bliss.

Butter London on OZSALE

Just a heads up to my aussie readers, OZSALE are selling Butter London polishes for $14 each. Not sure when this ends but the price is really good considering they retail for $22 here. They have some gorgeous colours for sale, I have my eye on a few like Pillar Box Red, Sprog, Disco Biscuit and The Black Knight.

Black and White

Tonight I decided to do a simple black and white eye look. It's very basic but I liked how it emphasised the colour of my eyes. This would look great with all eye colours!
Products used:
Benefit - Stay Don't Stray
NYX - Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk as base
MAC - Carbon eye shadow
Coastal Scents - white eye shadow from warm palette
Illamasqua - Precision Ink in Abyss
MAC - Powerpoint eye liner in Engraved
Loreal - Volume Million Lashes in Extra Black

For some reason, this photo makes my skin look quite green :\

Hope you like this :) x

NOTD and my new bedroom!

NOTD and my new bedroom!

I decided to paint my nails a pretty turquoise colour and silver since I figured they were good colours for spring. I used China Glaze in 'turn it up turquoise' and Sally Hansen in 'celeb city' on one nail. The China Glaze polish dries matte which I really like however it started chipping the same day I painted them which was really disappointing. I really liked this colour too.

As I said before, I've been redecorating my bedroom and I think it's finally finished! The only thing I'm still working on is organising my makeup and putting photos in frames.

This picture of Audrey has a mirror frame which I really love.

I'm back!!

So I've been on hiatus for like 4 months and I'm sooooo sorry! I've been busy with uni, work, and just everything going on in my life. So much has changed since I last posted.
I coloured my hair lighter, then after the hairdresser dyed it yellow, she lightened it a lot to fix it.

Then I coloured my hair a really dark reddy brown colour. I love this colour. The only downside is that you can see split ends really easily in dark hair, and I feel like the dye has dried my hair out a lot. It feels a lot drier than it did when it was blonde.

I have completely redecorated my room and I will upload photos when it's finished. I'm so excited about it, it looks so good!
I've turned 20 and it's so weird when anyone asks my age, I still feel like a teenager, and I probably still act like one too lol.
I finish uni for the year in a few weeks so I'll have plenty of time to update with new make up looks and general posts.

Eyeshadow to make your eyes pop: blue eyes

To make your eye colour look more intense and enhanced, you basically use certain coloured eye shadow. Using the colour wheel, we can see that blue and orange are complimentary colours. This means they stand out when paired. So eye shadow colours for blue eyes would be orange, bronze, brown and gold shades. Another way of making your eyes stand out would be using a colour similar to your eye colour, so for me that would be blue colours. I will do another post showing how blue eyes pop with blue eye shadow but for now I leave you with my bronze/gold eyeshadow look :)
Products used:
MAC paint pot in Bare Study
Coastal Scents 88 Ultra Shimmer palette gold and bronze eyeshadows
MAC Fix+ Spray
Loreal eyeliner in brown
Maybelline Falsies mascara.
To make the eyeshadow more intense and pigmented, dip the brush in water or spray it with MAC Fix + spray and then use the eyeshadow.
